  1. My Chemical Romance!!!! - okay, they weren’t as good as the other 2 times that I’ve seen them but they’re My Chemical Romance, so they are number 1, even if they didn’t play a single song. Not enjoying them as much was probably my fault since I watched youtube videos of their performance at Auckland Big Day Out. (I do this all the time, even with roller coasters, watch the video and then anticipate the corkscrews or the helixes. ugh) Anyway, Gerard Way came out wearing exactly what he wore yesterday, which disappointed me only because my curiosity about his wardrobe wasn’t fulfilled . It was also partly the sound equipments fault and it started raining maybe 3 songs in, but that made it feel sort of magical, youknow ^_^ The setlist was good, they played songs from Bullets so I was content and my inner 2005-2009 freaked, and we were quite close too! Well as close as  you can get without touching people. I seem to have lost my adventurous m0sh warrior self. Overall I was just too happy to see my favourite band with my favourite boy, aw <3
  2. Kimbra - Wow, what a show! She was too adorable too, and such a wonderful performer.
  3. Foster The People - Seriously one of the craziest crowds I’ve ever seen. Might have been because it started pouring down just before so everyone rushed to the tent but everyone was dancing and having a jolly old time. Pumped Up Kicks was turned into like a 7 minute epic, which was awesome.
  4. Best Coast - My oh my I love Best Coast.
  5. The Getaway Plan - One of the most talented bands in the world. We only watched 3 songs (including City Meets the Sea) but everything about it was magical.
  6. Boy & Bear - Although they are my second favourite band that were performing at Big Day Out, I was kind of disappointed because they sounded EXACTLY the same as on CD, which is a good thing I guess, but I like it when bands do things differently. I felt like they had more to offer.
  7. Girl Talk - Ok, let me say this here. Shaun cannot dance. He only knows 2 moves which are the robot and the 80s twist and when he dances he combines them both. I also learnt that I don’t dance so I kind of just stood there and watched everyone and everything, but yes. It was wonderful.
  8. Kanye West - So after being 45 minutes late (due to the rain causing havoc) maaaaaan did he put on a show! He had dancers and (what I think was) a 3D backdrop of like victorian statues. Was it actually 3D? Someone tell me, I spent the whole time wondering. He was really wonderful to watch, but oh my god. NO ONE LIKES YOUR SINGING SONGS, KANYE.
  9. The Jezabels - <3
  10. Röyksopp - They had these cool costume hat thingos. I couldn’t quite see what they were but they had lights.
